Full-time positions (FTEs) are authorized at 136. Part-time
Reserve Force Officer (RFO) positions staffed in peacetime
are 200. There are 56 part-time state directors and 1 deputy
state director (including Guam, Puerto Rico, Northern
Mariana Islands, Virgin Islands, Washington DC, and New York
City). The agency is authorized 10,830 part-time volunteer
local, district, and national board members. As of April 15,
2008, there are 8,963 local board members assigned. The number of
Local Boards currently totals 2,069, and the number of
District Appeal Boards totals 96.
