BLM to hold public open house Friday for new NCA Manager

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — The Bureau of Land Management is hosting an open house this Friday to welcome new McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area Manager Katie A. Stevens to Grand Junction.
The open house will be held in the BLM Grand Junction Field Office, 2815 H Road, from 3-5 p.m.

“Please join us in welcoming Katie to Grand Junction,” said Catherine Robertson, Grand Junction Field Manager. “We are pleased to have her join our team – among her many accomplishments is a proven track record with stewardships and partnerships.”

Stevens came to Grand Junction in December from the BLM Montana State Office, where she served as a Planning and Environmental Coordinator and Conservation Planner. During her time in Montana, Katie provided planning leadership for a wide array of projects and programs. She worked closely with other agencies and organizations including state wildlife agencies, federal partners, and conservation organizations.
She received her BA in Environmental Studies from Montana State University in Billings.
