The BLM Colorado State Office is responsible for both oversight of the oil and gas program in Colorado, as well as operational oil and gas functions. Oversight responsibilities include inspection and enforcement, approvals and operations, NEPA compliance, and Indian oil and gas issues. Operational functions include unitization, drainage, well spacing, leasing, lease maintenance, and lease transfers.
