On February 15, 2007 Federal Student Aid and CPS/SAIG Technical Support announced they would be sending two reports from the Participation Management system through the Student Aid Internet Gateway (SAIG) that are designed to assist you in managing your TG numbers and your staff's access to Federal Student Aid secure data systems. The first report, the Destination Point Administrator (DPA) Roster, was sent on February 22, 2007. This is to alert schools to the posting of the second of these reports.

On March 22, 2007, Federal Student Aid will place a Financial Aid Administrator (FAA) Roster in all "Primary" TG Number mailboxes. The FAA Roster will be sent under the message class FAARSTRS. The Primary TG Number is defined as the first TG number that was created for an organization, not necessarily the one the organization uses to send and receive files. To identify your Primary TG Number, log in to the "Review Your Organization's Mailboxes" feature on the SAIG Enrollment site ( http://FSAwebenroll.ed.gov).

The FAA Roster lists the employees at your organization who are currently enrolled for FAA Access to CPS Online services. Organizations should delete the names of FAA staff who no longer need access, at the SAIG Enrollment site. Guidance on how DPAs remove existing FAA users is provided at the end of this message.

After the FAA Roster is placed in your Primary TG Number mailbox, you will need to download the file with EDconnect by either performing an "All Data, All Messages" request or by selecting to receive the FAARSTRS message class. Once you have downloaded the file the FAA Roster will appear in the EDconnect Activity Log under the message class FAARSTRS. You can print the file directly from your Activity Log or by using a text editor such as Microsoft Word. To print the file from the Activity Log, double-click the file name in the File Name field. EDconnect will display the file in a text format that can be easily printed.

The printed FAA Roster will contain the following information:

  1. TG Number: This is the TG number that sends and receives Central Processing System (CPS) data for your organization.
  2. Destination Point Name: This is the name your organization provided to send and receive CPS data.
  3. Destination Point Administrator: This is the name of the employee designated as the owner of the TG number that is enrolled to send and receive CPS data.
  4. Secondary Destination Point Administrator: This is the name of the employee designated as the backup person for the DPA.
  5. All active FAA Users on file for your organization: These are employees who are currently enrolled for FAA Access to CPS Online. The owner of the TG number (the DPA) will not be listed as an FAA User. Some organizations may not have any FAA Users listed because only the DPA is enrolled for FAA Access.
  6. The FAA Access Service for which each FAA User is currently enrolled.

How DPAs Delete an Existing FAA User:

  1. Go to the SAIG Enrollment site ( http://FSAwebenroll.ed.gov) and click the "Enroll FAA Users for Online Services" icon.
  2. Enter the TG number that is currently enrolled to send and receive CPS data for your organization.
  3. Click "Next." Enter the authentication information for the TG number. Click "Next."
  4. Select "Delete an existing FAA User or user rights" from the menu. The FAA User page displays the employees at your organization who are currently enrolled for FAA Online Access.
  5. Select the FAA User you want to delete from the list.
  6. Click "Delete" on the Delete FAA User Page.
  7. Click "Continue" on the Delete FAA User Successful page to return to the list of FAA Users assigned to your organization.
