Federal agents, local police team up to capture Mexican triple homicide suspect
Alleged murderer turned over to Mexican authorities
MIAMI — Earlier today, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainee Jirman Ferney Giraldo-Restrepo, 24, of Colombia, escaped from ICE custody in the vicinity of the Colombian consulate in Coral Gables, FL.

Officers and agents with ICE, Coral Gables PD, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) are actively searching for Giraldo-Restrepo, who is believed to be hiding in the Coral Gables area in Miami. Additionally, an investigation into the circumstances of his escape is underway.
Giraldo-Restrepo has previous criminal convictions for possession of marijuana and driving without a license. Giraldo-Restrepo is 5'9, 170 lbs. He has black hair and brown eyes and has no tattoos or other marks. He was wearing a grey sweat suit and a 12-lb leg weight at the time of his escape.
