Prisoner Reentry Toolkit for Faith-Based and Community Organizations

The Center for Faith-Based and Community Initiatives at the Department of Labor has just released the "Prisoner Reentry Toolkit for Faith-Based and Community Organizations." The toolkit is a guide for faith-based and community organizations interested in establishing or enhancing their prisoner reentry programs. The document covers a variety of topics such as recruiting volunteers and clients, case management, job placement, mentoring, and forming successful partnerships. Residential Reentry Center Services, San Bernardino County and Riverside County, California, Solicitation

The Bureau of Prisons of the U.S. Dept. of Justice has put out a solicitation notice for Residential Reentry Center Services for male and female offenders in San Bernardino County and Riverside County, California. The solicitation is for services in each of San Bernardino County and Riverside County; awards may be made to either one offeror who can provide services in both counties or to two separate offerors. The response deadline is 2:00 pm EST on April 18, 2008. The contract period shall consist of a base period of one (1) year with four (4) 1-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the Government. Faith-based and community organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
