Immigration Related Employment Discrimination Public Education Program, Grant Announcement

The Office of Special Counsel for Immigration Related Unfair Employment Practices of the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Dept. of Justice has put out a grant announcement for its Immigration Related Employment Discrimination Public Education Program. The purpose of this program is to support public education programs on the rights afforded potential victims of employment discrimination and the responsibilities of employers under the anti-discrimination provision of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), 8 U.S.C. ยง1324b. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to educate workers, employers and/or the general public about the anti-discrimination provision of the INA. Faith-based and other community organizations are eligible and encouraged to apply. Grants will range in size from $35,000 to $100,000. The deadline for applications is March 31, 2008. Residential Reentry Center Services and Mothers and Infants Nurturing Together Services, New Haven or Hartford Counties, Connecticut, Solicitation

The Bureau of Prisons of the U.S. Dept. of Justice has put out a solicitation notice for Residential Reentry Center Services for male and female offenders and Mother and Infants Nurturing Together Services for pregnant female offenders in New Haven or Hartford Counties, Connecticut. The response deadline is 2:00 pm EST on March 28, 2008. The contract period shall consist of a base period of two (2) years with three (3) 1-year option periods for renewal at the discretion of the Government. Faith-based and community organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
