 Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force Arrest Accused Murderer

On April 7, 2009, Kendrick Bell was arrested in Baton Rouge by investigators from the Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force. Bell was wanted by the Baton Rouge City Police for two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder, Illegal use of a Weapon, Assault by drive-by Shooting, and Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property. Acting on a tip from a Confidential Source, MLFTF Investigators went to Bell’s last known address in the city of Baton Rouge. Bell was contacted, identified, and taken into custody without incident.  Bell was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.

The Middle Louisiana Fugitive Task Force, coordinated by the US Marshals Service, is a multi-agency task force that targets persons wanted for violent crimes, narcotic offenses, and sex offenders in the Capitol area and surrounding Parishes. Participating agencies are the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Baton Rouge Police Department, East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Louisiana State Police, the Louisiana Office of Probation and Parole, and the West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office.
