Pensacola, FL - The U.S. Marshals Florida Regional Fugitive Task Force is off to a busy start in 2009 after arresting five wanted felons, including capturing one of them in New York City earlier this week. Task force members from the Pensacola Region contacted their counterparts at the New York/New Jersey Regional Task Force after learning that one of their fugitives was hiding out in the Bronx. Aneisha Latoya Allen, 28 was wanted by the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Appear to face charges of Trafficking in Marijuana of Over 25lbs., and/or up to 2,000 lbs. A Task Force member from the sheriff’s office learned through his investigation that she may be staying with a relative at 4364 Richardson Avenue and called the Marshals in New York. Allen was arrested Monday morning at that home without incident.

On Tuesday, the FRTF arrested two other fugitives, one in Pensacola and another in Okaloosa County. Michael McConnell, 45, was arrested about 2:45 p.m. after the Task Force pulled him over at the corners of Ten Mile and Chemstrand Road in Escambia County. The car McConnell was driving matched the description of another fugitive’s car they were hunting. After realizing he was not that fugitive, they questioned him when he began acting suspicious. After checking McConnell for warrants, it was discovered that he was wanted in Texas on a VOP warrant for Dangerous Drugs. McConnell also had active warrants in Escambia from March of 2008 for Larceny and Fraud. In addition to, McConnell was charged at the scene for Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Narcotics Equipment and Driving While License Suspended. A search of the car also yielded about $38,000 cash that was seized. McConnell was booked in at the Escambia County Jail.

Later that evening in Ft. Walton Beach, Task Force members arrested 24 year old Matthew James Daily who was wanted in Okaloosa County for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Daily was arrested at about 6 p.m. without incident by Task Force Officers from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, while he was trying to hide in the back of a fast-food restaurant located on Northeast Eglin Parkway. Daily ‘s Sex Offender status stems from 2003 charges of Lewd and Lascivious Battery on a Victim between 12 and 15 years old. Daily was booked into the Okaloosa County Jail. On Wednesday, The FRTF was contacted by the Marshals’ Joint East Texas Task Force in Sherman, Texas to assist in locating wanted sex offender Nicholes Wilson Roseberry. Roseberry was wanted by officials in Collin County Texas on two warrants for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Roseberry is supposed to register annually for life after his conviction in 1997 for Aggravated Sexual Assault on a Child. The Task Force, working in conjunction with Task Force Officers from Pensacola Police Department learned that the 24 year old Roseberry was staying at a known homeless camp off Main Street in Pensacola. Police Officers found him there and arrested him and he was booked into the county jail pending extradition to Texas.

Also arrested last night by the FRTF and Task Force Officers from PPD was 32 year old Timothy Leon Hills. After conducting brief surveillance, The Task Force stopped a car he was a passenger in at Bayou Blvd. and Mall Entrance Road. Hills had an active Battery charge with the city from April of 2008.
