Akron Murder Suspect Caught in Youngstown

NOVFTF LogoYoungstown, OH – Peter J. Elliot, U.S. Marshal for the Northern District of Ohio, announces that on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 the U.S. Marshals Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force assisted the Youngstown Police Department Street Crimes Unit in the apprehension of Kaqun Slocum (age 18), wanted by the Akron Police Department for aggravated murder. This charge resulted from a double homicide that took place in Akron on January 1, 2008, wherein two individuals, Tammy Dickey and Scott Smith were shot to death in a vehicle behind an Akron area business. U.S. Marshal Peter J. Elliot states, “The cooperation between our task force partners continues to benefit all of the communities in Northern Ohio by effectively locating and apprehending those that evade the law.
