NIJ Seeks Evaluation of G.R.E.A.T. Program
In partnership with the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) is soliciting an independent process and outcome evaluation of the Gang Resistance Education and Training (G.R.E.A.T.) Program, a school-based curriculum taught by law enforcement officers and administered by BJA and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. G.R.E.A.T. focuses on providing life skills to students to help them avoid engaging in delinquent behavior and violence. Faith- and community-based organizations are eligible to apply. Applications must be submitted electronically using Grants.gov. Law Enforcement Task Forces and Services for Human Trafficking Victims
The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) announces the Law Enforcement Task Forces and Services for Human Trafficking Victims competitive grant solicitation. The overall goals of this joint OVC- Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) program are to continue to enhance law enforcement's ability to identify and rescue victims of human trafficking, to provide law enforcement with the resources and training to identify and rescue victims of trafficking, and to ensure that comprehensive services are available for trafficking victims. BJA has provided funding to 32 local and state law enforcement anti-trafficking task forces across the country. Up to 10 additional task forces will be funded in FY 2006. Faith- and community-based organizations are eligible to apply. Application due date: 12:00 midnight ET on April 25, 2006. Public Education Campaign Grants to Fight Immigration-Related Employment Discrimination

The Office of Special Counsel for Immigration Related Unfair Employment Practices (OSC) announces the availability of funds for grants to conduct public education programs about the rights afforded potential victims of employment discrimination and the responsibilities of employers under the anti-discrimination provision of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), 8 U.S.C. §1324b. It is anticipated that a number of grants will be competitively awarded to applicants who can demonstrate a capacity to design and successfully implement public education campaigns to address immigration related unfair employment discrimination. Grants may range in size from $35,000 to $100,000. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to educate workers, employers and/or the general public about the anti-discrimination provision of the INA. OSC welcomes proposals from diverse public service groups, organizations or associations providing information services to employers and/or potential victims of discrimination, and faith-based organizations and nonprofit groups providing services and assistance to potential victims of discrimination. FY 2006 Grants to State Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Coalitions Program
The Office on Violence Against Women (www.usdoj.gov/ovw) is seeking applications for funding for the Grants to State Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Coalitions Program. This program assists State coalitions serving as a collective voice to end violence against women through collaboration with federal, state, and local organizations, providing direct support to member programs through funding, training and technical assistance, public awareness activities and public policy advocacy. Faith- and community-based organizations that statutorily qualify are eligible to apply.
