Economic Recovery The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 is expected to provide $24.6 billion in additional funding for Medicaid, Education, Infrastructure and “shovel-ready projects throughout New York State. In the legislation Congress put a premium on transparency and accountability and as a result New York State has launched economicrecovery.ny.gov to allow New Yorkers to track how federal dollars are being spent.
