Recruitment for Rule of Law Positions – Attorneys
Attorneys are needed to serve as legal advisors in the following two general areas:
- In the U.S. Embassy – supports the office of the Rule of Law Coordinator, Justice Attaché, or Regime Crimes Liaison.
- Outside the Embassy – serves on a Provencial Reconstruction Team (PRT) or with the Law and Order Task Force (LAOTF).
Qualifications:
- Possess a J.D. degree, be duly licensed and authorized to practice.
- Have at least four or five years of post J.D. experience to be qualified at the GS-14 or 15 level.
Recruitment for Rule of Law Positions – Support Staff
In addition to the attorneys, support staff positions are available. Currently, these positions are located in the Embassy and support the offices of the Rule of Law Coordinator, Justice Attaché, and the Regime Crimes Liaison. Support staff positions include: paralegals, IT Specialists, contracting officers, budget analysts, and administrative assistants
