Changes in your enrollment statusMaintaining correct school enrollment status with the Direct Loan Servicing Center is very important. If you are re-enrolling in school, have just withdrawn, or have dropped to a "less than-half-time" enrollment status, the Direct Loan Servicing Center needs to be notified. In many cases the Schools will notify us directly of the change. However, if you receive notices from us showing that you are enrolled and you are not, please call our 1-800-848-0979* number to have your enrollment status updated. If you are enrolled and you receive notices from us showing that you are not in school, please download an in-School deferment form and have your school certify your continued enrollment. Then return the deferment form to us so that we can update our records to reflect your in-School status. |
