Purpose of the Report
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Performance and Accountability Report (PAR) provides results on VA’s progress towards providing America’s veterans with the best in benefits and health care.
The PAR contains FY 2008 performance targets and results achieved against those targets during FY 2008. As such, The PAR is VA’s report card and, in this context, strives to communicate to you, the American people, how well VA has done, the tangible public benefits VA has produced, the impacts we have had, and the forward-looking strategies we are employing to achieve and maintain excellence.
VA’s PAR Highlights communicates the Department’s most important performance results, financial statements, and other information in an easy-to-read, shorter document.
