Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS)

Overview

The Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) provides reliable and timely data on the mathematics and science achievement of U.S. 4th- and 8th-grade students compared to that of students in other countries. TIMSS data have been collected in 1995, 1999, 2003, and 2007. TIMSS 2007 results were released on December 9, 2008.

Highlights From the Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMSS) 2003

4th IEA International Research Conference (IRC):

The 4th IEA International Research Conference will be held at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, from 24 June to 26 June 2010. It will be preceded by a two-day training workshop on secondary data analysis (22–23 June). For more information about the conference visit the IEA website: www.iea.nl.
