Contaminant Exposure and Effects-Terrestrial Vertebrates  (CEE-TV) Database Table of Estuary and Great Lake Names

These tables contain lists of Estuarine Drainage names, Great Lakes names, and CEE-TV Regions for Alaska that are included in the CEE-TV database to aid in querying the “Estuary or Great Lake” field.  Copy and paste this information into the search form.

“Estuarine Drainage Area" and "Coastal Drainage Area" are hydrologic units based on watershed boundaries. The terms were defined and developed as part of the "Coastal Assessment Framework (CAF)" of the National Ocean Service, within the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Each Great Lake includes data in and surrounding the lake using a 30 km buffer zone. Data that fell within 30 km of more than one lake was assigned to the closest lake. Records falling outside United States boundaries (e.g., Ontario data) do not have designated hydrologic unit codes (HUCs).

NOAA has yet to define Estuarine and Coastal Drainage Areas for Alaska. For the CEE-TV database, regions for Alaska were delineated based on topography and existing HUCs. These were created to facilitate database searches for Alaska.  (CEE-TV Regions for Alaska)
