Optimal screen viewing

Because computers, monitors, screen resolution, and web browsers are different, you may view a web site differently than someone else. There are several things you can do to optimize viewing on this site. Here's what you can do if you experience any of the following problems:

  • Web site is too big for screen. For the Windows operating system, if you are using a "640 by 480" screen resolution, you may want to try a higher screen resolution. To do this, click the Start button, select Settings, and then Control Panel. In the window click on Display and choose the Settings tab. Then, move the option bar in Desktop area from "640 by 480 pixels" to one of the higher settings such as "800 by 600 pixels" or "1024 by 768 pixels". Changing this setting will allow more of the web site to be visible on your monitor but will make everything appear smaller. If you find the change to be unfavorable you can return it to the original setting.
  • Screen crowded or text is too large or too small. Screen crowding can occur if your browser's fonts are too large. To change this we suggest the following:
    • For Microsoft Internet Explorer, select Fonts from the View menu and then select a smaller or larger font size to suit your situation.
    • For Netscape Navigator, change the font size by selecting Preferences from the Edit menu. On the Appearance category, click Fonts. Select a smaller or larger font size to suit your situation. Then click OK.

For the best view of this site, we recommend using the following font settings:

    • For Microsoft Internet Explorer, select Fonts from the View menu then choose Smaller.
    • For Netscape Navigator, set your default proportional font to "Arial" ("Helvetica" on the Macintosh) and font size to 10.
