This Spring NSF is making it easier for PIs to add conference proceedings information to their FastLane project reports.

In response to the need for increased public access to the results of NSF-funded research, NSF is making it easier for PIs to include published information from conference proceedings in their annual and final project reports.

Recently NSF has automated the way PIs add published works such as journal articles to their project reports in FastLane. Now PIs will also be able to add information from conference proceedings in the same quick and efficient manner.

Conference proceedings include periodically published records of a scientific society or a conference (one time or part of a series). Currently, NSF PIs must enter this information manually when completing their project report. This update will allow PIs to search for conference proceedings information using the Thomson Scientific Database and add it to their project report with just a few clicks.

Please contact IT Help Central at 703.292.HELP (x4357) or ithelpcentral@nsf.gov with any questions about this effort or FastLane project reports.
