The deadline for registration has been extended until March 9.  Register online by logging onto www.nationalserviceresources.org.  Click on Conference & Training Calendar, Meeting Name, and Event URL.  Hotel reservations must be made by Friday, March 9th. After that date, we cannot guarantee space at the government per diem rate of $103.  Conference registration fee is $75.

GARP Update

AmeriCorps*State Program Officers have begun staff review of 2007 commission competitive, EAP, and states and territories without commissions applications.  Program officers will be intensely engaged in review through April 11.  Although we are committed to sustaining customer service during this period, we do appreciate your understanding during this exceptionally busy time. 

New AmeriCorps*State Program Assistant

Many of you met our new Program Assistant Smruti Desai when you were here at the Executive Directors Conference.  We are delighted to have Smruti join our team. When you wish to have names changed on the Commission ED email list, please send them to your program officer and copy Smruti.  She will make sure that our distribution list is up-to-date. You can email Smruti at SDesai@cns.gov.  Please note that because of the volume of commissions' staff, we do not manage more than two listings from each commission, typically the Executive Director and a back-up. 

April Cluster Calls

As previously announced, we will not have commission cluster calls this month.  Due to our GARP schedule, we will also not have cluster calls in April.  The cluster calls will resume in May on their regular schedule.
