Wiretap Applications Declined in 2008
A total of 1,891 applications to federal and state judges for orders authorizing the interception of wire, oral, or electronic communications were reported in calendar year 2008. The number represents a 14 percent decrease from authorizing orders in 2007.

Seventy-five federal district courts have signed on to offer potential jurors a web page where they can complete questionnaires and access information on when to report for jury service.
