Internet Auction Pilot Project
Users Workshop

The Bureau of Land Management is hosting a User’s Workshop for the Oil and Gas Lease Internet Auction Pilot. The Internet auction pilot is a Congressionally mandated test of an online system for auctioning parcels for oil and gas leasing. The online lease auction is tentatively scheduled for September 2009. More information will be released when a final date is determined.

In advance of the lease sale notice for the actual online auction, we want to provide the bidding public with an opportunity to experience the pilot online auction system.   We will have a limited number of computers set up at the workshop so that you can view and experience the pilot system and become familiar with how it operates. Bureau of Land Management specialists and representatives from the company who designed the online bidding system will be on-hand to explain the pilot system and how it operates.

Space is limited, and is available on a first come–first served basis. Register early.
