Lincoln County Land Act Groundwater Development and Utility Right-of-Way Project Final EIS

The Lincoln County Land Act Groundwater Development Project and Utility Right-of-Way Project Final EIS Notice of Availability (NOA) was published in the Federal Register (http://www.gpoaccess.gov/fr/index.html) by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on May 1, 2009.  The NOA is an official legal notice that a federal agency has completed the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and it is ready for public distribution. Information about the availability of the Final EIS was also provided to local media in an official BLM news release.

Public Comments

Although the 30-day availability period is not a formal public comment period, the BLM will accept and consider comments if they identify significant new circumstances or information relevant to environmental concerns and bear upon the proposed action.  Written comments will be accepted until June 1, 2009 and may be submitted through any of the following methods:

The official comment form includes a box at the top of the form that must be checked for BLM to withhold your name and address from public review; comments not submitted on an official comment form must include a statement indicating that you want your name and address withheld. Please be aware that the Environmental Impact Statement and all of the materials associated with it are public documents that are subject to the Freedom of Information Act.  While you can ask us to withhold personal identifying information from public review, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to do so.
