The log-linear SAS code is designed for data sets with missing parents. It does not work properly if parents are included. The program was developed by Richard Morris, Ph.D., and Clarice Weinberg, Ph.D. The Hybrid_Design log-linear model is described in Weinberg CR, Umbach DM. A hybrid design for studying genetic influences on risk of diseases with early onset in life. Am J Hum Genet 2005 Oct;77(4):627-36. Log_Linear_Model (lst) (1KB) Sample output (updated 2006/01/19) SAS Code to Fit Polytomous and Additive Logistic Models for Single Offspring Gentoype Effects With Missing Fathers or Mothers These models are described in Kistner EO, Wenberg CR. Method for using complete and incomplete trios to identify genes related to a quantitative trait. Genet Epidemiol 2004 Jul;27(1):33-42. add1 (txt) (17KB) is the Additive Logistic Model for Missing Parents SAS Code to Fit Polytomous and Additive Logistic Models for Multiple Offspring Genotype Effects With Missing Fathers or Mothers These models are described in Kistner EO, Weinberg CR. A method for identifying genes related to a quantitative trait, incorporating multiple siblings and missing parents. Genet Epidemiol 2005 Sep;29(2):155-65. The code may also be changed slightly as described in maternal1.txt to fit a model for parent-of-origin effects. It is a polytomous logistic model for maternal or parent-of-origin effects with single offspring and missing fathers or mothers. These models are described in Kistner EO, Infante-Rivard C, Weinberg CR. A method for using incomplete triads to test maternally-mediated genetic effects and parent-of-origin effects in relation to a quantitative trait. Am J Epidemiol 2006 Feb;163(3):255-61.
