Dynamics of Economic Well-Being: Spells of Unemployment 2001-2003 — The median duration of unemployment was 2.4 months between January 2001 and December 2003, according to a nationwide analysis of the labor force. The report, from the 2001 panel of the Survey of Income and Program Participation, has national-level information on unemployment by age, education and race and Hispanic origin.
