AADB Board Meeting

The AADB Board of Directors will have its spring meeting via videoconference on May 1st and 2nd, 2009 through a conference call and video relay services. Highlights of the meeting will appear in the May issue of “AADB Today.”

Workshop on Deaf-Blind Communicator

The Perkins School for the Blind, near Boston, Massachusetts, will be hosting a workshop on May 5, 2009 on the Deaf-Blind Communicator (DBC). The DBC allows face-to-face communication, TTY, SMS text messaging and many modern options for communication. Deaf-Blind Mountain Climber to Speak

Bill Barkeley, who has Usher Syndrome, is a successful mountain climber and runs a program training others to do similar physical adventures. He will be speaking about his experiences on May 7, 2009 in North Canton, OH, at an event sponsored by the Ohio Special Education Audiology Coalition to celebrate Better Hearing and Speech Month.
