Park Launches Mobile Web
Park staff have designed a mobile web, which allows users with a portable device (such as web-enabled cell phone, PDA, etc.) to access trip-planning information in a fast-loading and readable format. If you're heading to the park and looking for directions, vehicle restrictions, closures, or other timely information, simply browse through the selected topics on the mobile web page.

 

New Wildwood Stables Concessioner Selected, Effective January 1, 2009
Carriages of Acadia, Inc., has been selected as the new concessioner at Acadia’s Wildwood Stables to provide horse-drawn carriage tours, horse boarding, day use facilities, and services for visiting equestrians under a new ten-year concession contract. The contract became effective January 1, 2009. Carriages of Acadia, Inc., is a newly formed corporation headed by Michael Carpenter, who owns a horse-boarding facility in northern Maine. Operating dates for 2009 are June 6 to October 18, 2009.

Did You Know?
The Passamaquoddy Kit is an educational tool for teachers to help teach students about Passamaquoddy culture in Maine. The kit is a collaboration between the Abbe Museum and Acadia National Park staff.
