• Stephan Wasylko is the Senior Commercial Officer (SCO) at the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa and is responsible for directing and managing the U.S. Department of Commerce's trade development programs and business facilitation services throughout Canada. He serves as a key member of the U.S. Ambassador’s Country Team and works with business and government representatives on both sides of the border to advance U.S. commercial interests and strengthen U.S. – Canada commercial relations. Stephan has extensive Commercial Service experience in Europe with previous assignments as the SCO in Prague, Budapest, Kiev, Moscow and London. He has also served as the Department of Commerce's Principal Commercial Service Officer in Vancouver and Toronto. Stephan's academic background includes an BA in International Relations from Syracuse University and an MBA in International Trade and Finance from the University of Toronto.

• As the Deputy Senior Commercial Officer in Canada, Janice Corbett assists the Senior Commercial Officer in defining the goals and supervising the day-to-day operations in Vancouver, Calgary, Ottawa, and Montreal. Janice's previous assignments include: Deputy Senior Commercial Officer in Brazil, Principal Commercial Officer in Monterrey, Mexico, Senior Commercial Officer in Ecuador, Assistant Commercial Attaché in Madrid, Spain and Seoul, Korea and Trade Specialist in the USEAC in Cleveland, OH. Janice worked in banking and telecommunications prior to joining the U.S. Department of Commerce. She has her MBA in marketing and BA in international studies from Miami University in Oxford, OH.

• Lucy Latka is the Senior Commercial Specialist at the U.S. Embassy in Ottawa. Her portfolio includes, selling products and services in any sector to the Canadian Government, particularly in the Defense and Security sectors. She is also the National Sector Coordinator for Management Consulting. Lucy has been with the U.S. Commercial Service in Canada since 1993. Prior to joining the U.S. Commercial Service, Lucy worked in the private sector for over 20 years.

• Luz Betancur has been with the U.S. Commercial Service since 2004. In her capacity as Commercial Specialist, Luz develops trade events and promotional activities to market U.S. products and services within the Education and Training, Films/Video & Recording, and Multimedia portfolios.  Luz earned her bachelor degree in Business Administration and her Master in Management of Commercial Enterprises from Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. • Tracey Ford joined the U.S. Commercial Service in March 2007 after serving the U.S. Department of State for five years as a procurement agent. An Economics graduate of Carleton University in Ottawa, her background in the private sector with Newbridge Networks Corporation and Nortel Networks has provided her with the skills and experience necessary to work in her capacity as National Coordinator for the Computer Products & Services and Telecommunications sectors with the U.S. Commercial Service. Other areas of responsibility include: Electronic Commerce; Electronic Components; Information Services and Sporting Goods & Recreational Equipment.

• Marta Varisco has been with the US Commercial Service in Ottawa, Canada since 1993. In her capacity as Commercial Assistant, she assists Canadian companies in locating U.S.-made products, services and business partners. Prior to joining the U.S. Commercial Service in Canada, Marta assisted U.S. companies in our office in Argentina after transferring from the U.S Information Service in the United States Embassy in Buenos Aires. Marta earned an Associate in Arts degree in Columbia College, Columbia, Missouri and her latest addition is a degree in Web Design from Algonquin College in Ottawa.  Marta speaks fluent English and Spanish.
