Net distribution impact reaches far & wide
In the fall of 2008, our Nothing But Nets campaign helped to distribute 855,000 insecticide-treated bed nets as part of an integrated measles campaign in Côte d’Ivoire, reaching all corners of the country - the towns, the beaches, and the most rural outlying areas. The crowds of children and families waiting for their nets, smiling as they thank the health workers and volunteers, singing and dancing and crying, all tell a story of how a blue bed net is making a difference– it’s keeping them alive.

United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)
The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) coordinates United Nations environmental activities, assisting developing countries in implementing environmentally sound policies and encourages sustainable development through sound environmental practices. It was founded as a result of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment in June 1972 and has its headquarters in Nairobi, Kenya. UNEP also has six regional offices and various country offices.
