DISASTER DECLARATION ISSUED FOR FLOOD-IMPACTED COUNTIES
Congressman Kingston praises swift action toward recovery
Congressman Jack Kingston announced today that Georgia has been awarded a federal disaster declaration following severe storms that began on March 26 and resulted in major flooding. The affected counties have been approved to receive individual and public assistance and are eligible to apply for hazard mitigation grants. Congressman Kingston has worked closely with Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue requesting and acquiring this assistance in a timely manner. Read more...
