David Trotter of Marysville was named to the 13-member Lamb Board by the U.S. Secretary of Agriculture. The board is comprised of feeders, producers and handlers and develops markets for lamb products.

Seven Floyd County high school seniors have been named semifinalists for National Merit Scholarships. Nearly 16,000 semifinalists have been named. Winners will be annouced next summer.

VA Now Accepting Applications for New GI Bill Benefits: Hill supported legislation modernizing education benefits
