NCPTT will broadcast its first telnet course, “Essentials in Cemetery Monument Care,” on Jan. 30, 2007 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. EST. The course will demonstrate sound maintenance techniques for cemetery and commemorative monuments that are sustainable and non-invasive. Topics include documentation, maintenance plans, stone deterioration and the cleaning and resetting of headstones.
Participants will be able to design surveys, create long-term plans, understand deterioration mechanisms, implement basic resetting techniques and choose appropriate cleaners for stones. To register, visit DOI Learn and look for course code NPS-HPS1022.
