Making Ethics a Best PracticeEthics is responsible for defining and developing standards of conduct for ethical business behavior, communicating those standards to employees, and monitoring compliance with the standards. The group is also responsible for reviewing and approving requests for outside employment, reviewing and advising management on conflict-of-interest issues, maintaining the Employee Concerns Program, and assisting the Investigations Workgroup to resolve employee concerns. Audit serves as an independent resource for conducting internal audits, subcontract audits, special reviews, and advisory services; coordinating outside audit and assessment activities; and providing expert information and guidance on management of risk, use of cost-effective internal controls, and achievement of LANL’s business objectives. |
