Scattered showers and thunderstorms will progress southeast this morning as a disturbance works quickly across the region. Partly cloudy skies will develop over much of the northern plains, but clouds will again increase with a threat for showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon through the western high plains. Rainfall will become more widespread overnight and into Friday across the region, with much cooler temperatures starting to push in from the north and west on Friday.
