Webinar Series: U.S. Census Bureau’s Foreign Trade Regulations – Filing Requirements

Learn how to comply with the mandatory Foreign Trade Regulations (FTR) when exporting your products overseas. This webinar, presented by the U.S. Census Bureau, is the first in a series of five webinars. A Census Bureau expert will discuss the legal and filing requirements, the U.S. Principal Party in Interest (USPPI), types of shipments, filing timeframes and exemptions of the FTR.

Overview:

On October 1, 2008, the Census Bureau began requiring mandatory filing of export information through the Automated Export System for all shipments where a Shippers Export Declaration is required

·      Penalties may be imposed per violation of the FTR from $1,100 to $10,000, both civil and criminal.

·    Learn about the legal and filing requirements of the Foreign Trade Regulations.

·    Learn about the USPPI and the types of shipments required by the Foreign Trade Regulations.

·    There will be a speaker from Census who will answer your specific questions.
