EFCA Is an Assault on the Rights of Workers
IEC strongly opposes legislation introduced this week that would strip American workers of their right to a federally-supervised, private ballot election when deciding whether to join a union, leaving employees far more vulnerable to coercion and intimidation during union organizing drives.

Obama Adds Union-Only PLAs to Federal Construction Contracts
President Barack Obama has signed an executive order that gives Federal contracting agencies the discretion to require union-only project labor agreements (PLAs) on federal contracts. This means that the 84% of the construction workforce cannot work on these federal contracts because they are exercising their right (as protected by the National Labor Relations Act) to not join a union.
