Crown of the Continent Research Learning Center
Facilities and Resources

The Crown of the Continent Research Learning Center (CCRLC) administrative facilities are in a converted Mission 66 house within the Glacier National Park (GNP) headquarters area. The newly renovated facility contains a multimedia conference/presentation room, a state-of-the-art computer lab for research, education, and training activities, and can accommodate up to 5 full-time employees and 6 visiting faculty or students. GNP has also dedicated a second, three-bedroom Mission 66 residence to provide bunk space for visiting scientists, students, and other collaborators. The residence has recently been converted to bunkhouse style accommodations that will sleep up to 7 adults.

A wide range of scientific expertise and technological support is available both within the park and through CCRLC partners. Adjacent to the CCRLC administrative building is the park Science Center that has offices of both the USGS Northern Rocky Mountain Science Center's Glacier Field Station and the park's Resources Management Program. Across the street from the Science Center is the USGS Global Change Research Program Office. GNP is also a member of the Rocky Mountain Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit, the host of which is the University of Montana. Other academic partners include the Universities of Idaho and Calgary and Montana State University.
