Education
- M.S. Natural Resources - 2005, University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
- B.S. Watershed Management - 2002, University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
Areas of Expertise
- Amanda Bell has concentrated on hydrologic and water quality concerns and their relationship to aquatic biota. A major focus over the past several years has been the effects of landscape changes (mainly urbanization), mercury accumulation, and nutrient concentrations on biological communities within the Western Lake Michigan Drainages and several other National Water Quality Assessment program study units.
- Other technical areas of interest include: watershed management, soil science, aquatic biology, ecological applications, integrated resources management, wetlands ecology, aquatic toxicology, aquatic chemical and biological contaminants, PPCPs, and microbiology.
