Back: Mentor a Future Special Educator
Mentors are needed to expand the CEC Pioneers Mentoring Program for the
2009-2010 year. All CEC Premier, Professional, and Retired members are
invited to participate as mentors. Applications are due June 1.

Disappointed with OSEP’s Proposed Revisions
CEC and its Division for Early Childhood (DEC) have responded to
OSEP’s proposed revisions to the data collection requirements for
IDEA Part B 619 programs, specifically the section on preschool
settings, and are disappointed and concerned that OSEP did not
accept their original comments from 2007.

Legislation to Double IDEA Funding
As the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act is signed
into law, CEC celebrates a pivotal moment in the history of special
