APPA, others ask FERC to elaborate on why it dismissed PJM’s complaint against Tower
The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission failed to provide any explanation on the merits of its April 2 decision dismissing parts of PJM’s complaint alleging that the Tower Co. group of hedge funds manipulated PJM’s markets, APPA and six other organizations said. The commission also violated principles of due process by relying completely on a staff report, without providing interested parties an opportunity to participate or respond to the report, APPA and the others said in a May 4 request for rehearing. Denton, Texas, now getting 40% renewable power
The municipal electric utility in Denton, Texas, said it is now buying about 40% of its power supply needs from NextEra Energy Resources, which operates the Wolf Ridge Wind Farm near Muenster, Texas. Read More
