Planning a Visit During Spring?

Spring may be officially here, but in Jackson Hole, snow reigns. Snow continues to fall and temperatures fluxuate greatly, but warmer weather is just around the corner. If you're planning a visit in May, we've posted the spring newspaper.

PLEASE NOTE: The park's new multi-use pathway is NOT OPEN. The park will make a formal announcement in the spring whereupon visitors will be invited to use the pathway. For your safety, please stay off the pathway until officially opened. Bridge repair and safety features must be completed before public access is allowed.

Climate

The first heavy snows fall by November 1 and continue through March with snow and frost possible during any month. Summer days range in the 70s and 80s with cool nights in the 40s. Afternoon thunderstorms during the summer are common with mild to cool temperatures through September and October. Sub-zero temperatures are common throughout winter and demand multi-layered clothing, hats, mittens and cold weather boots.
