Establishments that satisfy the criteria of a department store and: (1) usually
provide check-out service and customer assistance (sales persons) within each
department; (2) frequently have a catalog order desk; and (3) are affiliated with a
company that operates similar establishments on a national basis. Sales of
establishments that operate leased departments in national chain department stores
are excluded.
