Yukon Charley Rivers National Preserve
Things To Do
Tatonduk River offers a beautiful view of the rugged Ogilvie Mountains.
While many choose to enjoy a relaxing float down the Yukon, enjoying the grandeur of interior Alaska, there are those that just need to add a few things to the itinerary to enhance the experience. Some choose the adventurous route and enjoy the superb waters and wildlife along the Charley River. Others enjoy stopping along the way to view historic remnants of bygone eras. You will NOT see traffic jams, hear horns honking or see congested crosswalks. You WILL experience solitude, quiet and natural beauty.
Steam Tractor

Did You Know?
The Washington Creek steam tractor was used in an effort to transport coal before it was determined that the coal in Yukon-Charley was too soft to be burned by sternwheelers.
