The Healthcare Products & Technologies Team of the Office of Health and Consumer Goods has an ongoing need for motivated and enthusiastic undergraduate and graduate students to intern in our office. We offer an excellent opportunity for students to assist in research and implementation of our global trade agenda, integrate academic theory and gain relevant skills and knowledge, explore Federal career options, develop professional networks, and gain a greater awareness of the role of Federal agencies and export assistance programs designed to help U.S. companies export their products and services.
Interns may work between 20 - 40 hours per week on policy and economic issues affecting international and domestic competition and innovation. The internship is unpaid, but offers an excellent opportunity to meet and network with U.S. government officials and private sector representatives involved in international trade. We will work with you to get academic credit, if your college or university offers that option.
Essential Qualifications include:
- U.S. citizenship
- Enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate school program at time of internship
- Computer skilled - proficient in Excel, Word, WordPerfect, PowerPoint
Desirable Qualifications:
Formal study or professional experiences in international trade
Language proficiency in Chinese, Spanish, Russian, or French
