Report from Jaime Kimble
Assateague State Park

On Saturday, April 18th, Assateague State Park held our Annual Spring Clean Up. We had two large groups (for a total of 40 people). One group took charge of the beach, picking up trash. The other conquered the campground, painting crosswalks, site numbers, posting signs, installing dune fence, and other needed projects. We were even able to recruit a few horses to cut the grass.

Without the help of these wonderful volunteers, it would have been difficult for our staff to do all of the projects that needed to be done before our campground opened for the season. Let's give a big round of applause to our fantastic volunteers!
