Oregon Disaster Recovery Centers Reduce Hours During New Year's Holiday

SALEM, Ore. -- The Oregon Emergency Management Agency (OEM) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) today announced that Disaster Recovery Centers (DRCs) in Tillamook, Seaside and Vernonia will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, December 31, and will be closed on Tuesday, January 1.  They will re-open to regular hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily on Wednesday, January 2.  More than 2,000 Oregonians have registered for assistance. 

Oregonians impacted by the severe storms, flooding, landslides and mudslides that occurred Dec. 1-17 are urged to call 1-800-621-3362 (FEMA) to register for FEMA and State assistance. The TTY number  is 1-800-462-7585 for applicants with special speech or hearing needs. Registration is also available on    the Internet at www.fema.gov.  DRCs are open at the following locations:
