OLYMPIA, Wash.  -- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the Washington Emergency Management Division (WEMD) announce the closing of the Puyallup County Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) on Wednesday, February 25, 2009. It is located at:

South Hill Mall (located near the old J.C. Penney's entrance)
3500 S. Meridian, Suite 940
Puyallup, WA 98373

From now until the closing, the hours of operation remain 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Applicants are still urged to register for disaster assistance by calling toll-free, 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) (TTY 1-800-462-7585), 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week. Online registration is also available at www.disasterassistance.gov

It is not necessary to visit a DRC to register for assistance. They are set up for people to ask questions about their eligibility, to provide information about the assistance programs available, and to help people complete their loan applications.
