Oklahoma City,OK -- The toll-free federal/state disaster registration system (1-800-621-FEMA / 3362) will be closed on Saturday and Sunday, November 17 and 18. Residents and business owners in Washita County affected by the October 9 tornadoes are urged to apply for assistance by calling between 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 16, and beginning again on Monday, Nov. 19.

Individuals and business owners who have applied may still receive assistance and information on Saturday, November 17 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and again on Sunday, November 18, from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Disaster Recovery Center, now operating at the Cordell Community Center, 101 Main Street.

More than 250 applicants for individual and business losses from the October 9 tornadoes have visited the Disaster Recovery Center since it began operations on November 5th.
