Our AWARD WINNING DOCUMENTARY “Remembering Manzanar” runs 22 minutes and is a good introduction to the site. The movie shows every hour and half hour.

A JUNIOR RANGER PROGRAM is available for kids of all ages. This activity booklet contains a scavenger hunt, word puzzle, word search, mapping and writing activities.

A SELF-GUIDED AUTO TOUR is available during daylight hours. Pick up a free guide at the Interpretive Center or in an outside box after business hours.

Park Rangers offer guided tours and school programs throughout the year. Call 760-878-2194 for more information or complete the program reservation request form.

Did You Know?
One hundred fifty Japanese Americans died while interned at Manzanar, but only six are still buried in the cemetery. Most of the 150 people were cremated, and others were removed from the cemetery after the war.
