JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- A Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is opening in Taney and Stone counties to provide face-to-face assistance to those suffering damages from the severe storms, flooding and tornado during the period of Sept. 11-24:
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the State Emergency Management Agency announced the following location and hours:
Taney County DRC

Dec. 1 open from noon until 7 p.m.
Dec. 2 and 3 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Visitors should register with FEMA prior to visiting the DRC. Homeowners, renters, businesses of all sizes and private nonprofits may now register for assistance by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY 1-800-462-7585 for the speech- or hearing-impaired. The toll-free telephone numbers will operate from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily until further notice. Online registration is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at www.fema.gov.
